According to information released by the China Nuclear Energy Industry Association, there are currently 56 nuclear power units in operation in China (excluding Taiwan), with a total installed capacity of 58,218.34 MWe, ranking third in the world. China has 26 nuclear power units under construction, with a total installed capacity of 30.3 million kilowatts, ranking first in the world for many years. From January to March this year, the cumulative power generation of nuclear power units in operation was 104.031 billion KWH, accounting for 4.65 percent of the country's power generation.
